I would so appreciate it if those of you who believe as strongly as I do in the power of prayer would please pray for one of our grandchildren. Some tests have come back with a red flag. It seems there is the possibility of a life threatening health issue. More specific and more accurate tests have been completed and the results should be in by Monday. Please pray with us that the results will be completely normal - a healthy child. We have torn hearts, as we are supposed to go to Florida, in part to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary- which is June 27th. The kids do not want us to change our plans but we can't imagne not being home to support them while they're going through such a stressful time. So if you don't mind, add on a little prayer for us too as we travel and our family will not be together for a few weeks. I'll post next week as soon as I have the awaited test results. Thank you all so much for your faith and prayer.

Suzanne, at Southern Inspiration, does a Friday Fives post each week. I almost always check out her questions for the week but I've never participated before - here goes...
1. Any special plans for Father's Day?
We're beginning our Father's Day celebration Saturday with our daughter and her family and our son and daughter-in-law at our community patriotic fair and fireworks. We'll sit on blankets and eat pizza and treats together, admire the newest ultrasound pics of our new grandbaby-to-be, take our precious little granddaughters on a few rides, and finish the evening with a fabulous fireworks display. Our daughter and son-in-law and their two little girls will come over on Sunday for a barbecue. Our son and daughter-in-law will be celebrating their very first wedding anniversary, so we will gladly excuse them from joining us.
2. Is your daddy still living?
My daddy is still living, though he is terminally ill. He is one of the most special men on the face of the earth!
3. Are you a grandparent yet?
We have two granddaughters - Sydney, who is 6, and Isabelle, who is 2. They are our daughter's children. Our son and daughter-in-law are expecting their first baby, due December 26.
4. How long have you been married?
We will be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary on June 27.
5. What vocation did your DAD do?
My dad worked in the auto industry for many years. For the last 10 years or so of his working life he developed his own landscape business.
