Photo Scavenger Hunt - "Hope"

I am joining Sandi, Whistlestop Cafe, today for her Photo Scavenger Hunt. I love photos of all kinds and I have hundreds of them, so why not share!? Today's theme for the Hunt is "Hope".
I'm sharing a picture I took at the beach in Florida last summer.
The reason this picture represents hope to me is:

#1: The beach always represents hope to me - hope in God. I find more peace and joy at the beach than any place else I can think of. When I am blessed enough to walk on the sand in and out of the surf, I find myself in an almost constant state of worship. The sea itself, so incredibly representative of God's creation! The surf and the moon, in a waltz to keep the globe afloat! It's very sound, music directly from God it seems to me! A natural Eco balance only God could have created. The sand - how many billions of billions of grains of sand are there? Sea birds - natural fishers, graceful in their beauty. The mindless pleasure of selecting shells to cherish all year long. The beach is a source of great joy and thankfulness in my life - and hope through God's great gifts to us.

#2: This picture represents hope in my family. So far almost every year of our marriage, we have gone to the beach with our kids - and now their families. Just the idea of an old fashioned FAMILY vacation is hopeful for the future. We realize how incredibly blessed we are that our children WANT to spend their annual vacation with us. Isn't that alone reason to have great hope for a future of filled with many more memories in the making?

#3: The sweet little feet in this picture reminds me that our children and grandchildren are the hope of the future. I can't wait to watch my two little granddaughters grow and become what God created them to be. I adore this picture because it represents generations of true love between mothers, daughters, and granddaughters!

My foot is the bottom right, bottom left is sweet little Sydney, my daughter is mid-left, and Baby Isabelle is at the top.

I love this post, Kathy! So sweet, love the photo and relate to all the sentiments. Isn't being a grandmother and mother the very best?
I have 10 grandkids 9 and under and just got back from a visit with 8 of them. The way you feel at the beach is the way I feel in a redwood forest near us called Muir Woods.

Our family has always loved the beach too. We've spent many vacations at the beach and went there often when we lived in southern California. Cute picture of happy toes.

Oh I love this post! I could feel the waves washing over my feet as I was reading along and see the vastness of the ocean. Then I felt the sand squish between my toes, and feel the warmth of family all together. Then the final picture of all the toes -how sweet! Happy Pink Saturday! ~ Robyn

Your description of the ocean, sand and beach was right on. I too have felt God's greatness when I have visited the beach. Your picture is just beautiful and heartwarming!

I love your photo! There is just something about the beach for me too. It's one of the few places that I can feel calmness although the ocean crashes away! I LOVE IT. We go every summer too or at least try. There are so many beautiful things to hope for and you nailed it in your description. Hope your CHRISTmas was a happy one.

What a precious photograph. I have always made pics of mine & my daughters feet together at the beach, too. Though we usually were wearing a scarlet red polish called Hot Chilies. No "nekkid" toes for us. LOL. Neither of my daughters are quite old enough to have children yet, but I am hopeful of continuing the tradition someday.
