Pink Power

Have you noticed recently how many products are sporting the trademark pink ribbon logo in support of breast cancer research? A couple of days ago I was at the grocery store and if I had had my camera with me I would have actually had an interesting post this Pink Saturday! There were dozens of products from cake mixes to whisks with the now familiar pink ribbon prominently on it's packaging. IT'S ABOUT TIME! There is power in numbers and the more money behind the fight against this horrific disease, the more likely that there will be a cure in our lifetime. Buy, buy, buy every product you can which bears this logo and we will boost the power behind the PINK!

I recently bought this cute little pink bear from the Ty Beanie Babies Collection, wearing the breast cancer pink ribbon pinned on it's cute little chest and imprinted on it's fur. A dear friend, a woman like a second mother, is a recent breast cancer survivor. She also loves and has collected Beanie Babies for years. So of course I had to buy this little girl for her! As women, we should support this surge of support for the cure of breast cancer, buying these products to reward companies for their outstanding involvement.

I have been under the weather this week so my Pink post is short, but full of PINK POWER for the cure! Happy Pink Saturday, everyone. Have a perfect weekend - and click HERE to provide a free mammogram to someone in need!

Your PINK post is just perfect and it will possibly be the most important post of them all! I love the Pink Beanie Bear and will buy a couple if I find them. Oh Kathy, just a couple days ago my friend under went some test and she found out she has breast cancer. She is not doing well with the news. I would love to give her a bear!

Thinking of you dear!

Amen to all you said. The power of pink! I will buy the beanie if I see him, too. I'm in Scotland, but we're heading back to America for a week to see family, and I just might find a Pink Beanie Bear! Thanks for sharing.. Happy Pink Saturday! :-) Stacey

What a great post, Kathy.
Our store has a huge display of Pink Items for sale--and I actually did get a photo of it the day I did the Bathroom Divas post! Yes, there are tons of products out there with the pink touch---it's so great, too. Loved that sweet bear. That would make anyone feel better! Speaking of which--I hope you are soon!!! Dana

Hi Kathy,
I'm sorry your feeling a little under the weather today. I'll say a little prayer for you.
I was just in Target and couldn't believe all the pink appliances and kitchen gadgets. My friend ans I were standing there going, "I want that, and that, and wouldn't that be cute there." I think the cutest thing I've seen is your little pink bear.
I hope you'll be feeling better later.

Hi Kathy! Happy PS!
That sure is a cute little bear. Being the only one in my immediate family who hasn't been inflicted with cancer, I am very much a supporter of cancer awareness and the "pink ribbon" products. Thank you for sharing that sentiment and for sharing the pink bear. I want one now, so I will be doing some shopping.
Enjoy your day and feel better soon!
Hugs!

Yes it seems like pink is everywhere this month. I bought one of those pink bags to bring groceries home in at Fry's the other day. I'll have to take a picture of it for some Saturday post. I hadn't thought of it before. This post reminded me. Thanks.
Hope you get to feeling better soon.

I've noticed the very same thing. A lady came into the store where I work part-time with a pink shirt which said "Save the TA-DAH's". She was in charge of coming up with a t-shirt for their company during breast cancer week. She said that even some of the guys were wearing the shirts...
