Happy Show & Tell Friday! I would like to share my art room/computer work space with you today. For years I painted in the kitchen, putting everything away when it was time for my children to come home from school. When they moved into their own homes I decided one of the bedrooms would be mine to paint in. For a while I had a large desk where I painted, but the room has evolved over the last few years so that it is useful for more than painting.
The walls are painted a soft, beigy rose with a painted fern border around the top edge of the walls. In the far left corner of the picture, you can see the vintage double school desk I use to store paints, chalk, paper, etc. I decided to put a twin size sofa bed in this room. When one of the girls is spending the night I like to stay with them. Sydney prefers the guest room now, calling it her princess room, but Isabelle is still in a crib at 14 months.
For as long as I've had crib aged grandchildren I have had a port-a-crib in this room. It doesn't take up too much room and the girls like the mirror to look into too!
This is my computer work space. I moved a computer in so that I can blog into the night if I want to...I no longer have to get up to send children to school, remember?!
Thanks for stopping by to see my Show & Tell today! To see many more wonderful Show & Tell postings go to There Is No Place Like Home.

Hello Kathy! Your home is so warm and cozy! A perfect home to come to for the holidays! Hugs, Maryjane
I love your room! I'm working on mine. My children are still at home, but we bought a house earlier this year that has an extra bedroom that is my "office/library". So I'm slowly getting it fixed up.
Thank you for sharing your 'space.' The decor reminds me a little of your blog.....
Here's my show & tell....

What a neat room! It's so cozy and inviting! I've yet to have the luxury of my own room, lol but maybe someday!
What a lovely room you have created for yourself ! It is so important to have a little space for oneself ! I did the same as you and feel so good when I am in my little kingdom !
Now that room is just perfect!!! A whole multitude of purposes and just so 'homey and lived in'...I love it. Thanks for sharing this, I really enjoyed viewing.
My show n tell is Halloween, solar lights since most all my visitors have been asking for some of my halloween decorations I've been setting up...and a set of kitchen linens that match my blog's header that I found! Come on by if you can find time...Happy Friday!
Kathy,
It's so nice to have a room that is totally ours. You've fixed yours up to be inviting and warm. I love that the crib is in there and the pull-out couch. You have your own little space to paint or blog and also to spend time with the Grands.
I enjoyed visiting with you.
Blessings,
Mary
How wonderful to have you own space to do what you love in it.
What a great art/computer room. The colors are lovely - it seems so peaceful. When we moved from a four bedroom house to a three bedroom, I really missed having that extra room for crafts and special projects. I'll just have to wait until we finish our basement to have that space again.
What a beautiful, soft and feminine room! I love it! And it's so neat that you have a corner for your grandchildren.
One day, I guess, I'll have a little space of my own like that. But for now, I do my hobbies on the kitchen table as well. :)
Thanks for sharing. :) And thank you for stopping by my Show and Tell

That is such a pretty and calming color scheme. Everything looks so homey. My son is 30 months old, and still sleeps in his crib. We may have to kick him out of it before he starts high school.
I love your space! It's so hard to pack up everything when you're working on a project!
Manuela
What a cozy little blogging corner. Looks like a very nice "multi-purpose" room to me. It's all "warm and cozy" as Maryjane said.
Your room is so inviting and comfortable looking. I'm afraid I'd be tempted to snooze instead of work! Really, it's lovely.

We have a 'Nursery', and that's where the grandchildren sleep when they come to Nana and Papa's. It's funny how each of them call it THEIR room when they are here with us!!!
I have made a space in Papa's tv room for my office space... he doesn't seem to mind!!
Kathy,
Your room is lovely! Very very soothing!!

Oh, my, that is SUCH a pretty room!! Just lovely. I hope to have a sewing/craft/guest room when my children start moving out.
How wonderful to have that space to make your own. It looks very comfortable!
My Show & Tell
LOVE your sweet room---it looks so organized and comfy. Wish I had a neat porta crib like that for my g. girl. We just use one of those Pack n Plays and I hate it that she is so low to the floor when she naps.
It was so good visiting you again! Are you still enjoying your pink imitation crocs?
Dana
That looks like a wonderful room to have all to yourself.
What a pretty room to work in!
I like the colors.

Hi Kathy, I really like your room. There is so much attention to each detail. You have created a wonderful haven. It is wonderful that you keep a crib in the room. There is an air of within the room.
Hugs,
Sweetie
