Generations

I have been feeling a bit sentimental lately so I thought I would share four generations of family wedding days for Show & Tell this week.

My paternal grandparents, John and Tiny Violet, married 1920.

My maternal grandparents, William and Mary Ethel, married 1921.

My parents, Kenneth and Bonnie Jo, married 1948.

My husband's parents, Harry and Lorraine, married 1943.

My husband, Sandy and I, married 1970.

Our daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Mark, married 2001.

The next wedding day in our family, our son Jacob and his fiance Jenni. Their wedding day will be June 20, 2009.

To see more Show and Tell Friday posts go to Kelli's House.

I LOVED that! I have a soft spot for old photos. Was her name really "TINY"? Tiny Violet sounds as if she should have been a Horticuturist!

Our youngest daughter is getting married 2 weeks from today!!! GULP!

Last week I shared about my Grandma's trunk, the "before restoration" photos. I got it back and I have posted its transformation on today's S&T.

Your website is absolutely beautiful. I have been following Kelli's blog ~ not sure really how I found it. But I've been mesmerized by all that she has done with her blog. It is a bit overwhelming checking it all out ~ yet a "fun" overwhelming. Anyway, I clicked on your name within her website and yours is simply beautiful. The wedding photos are stunning. I'm a sentimental ole sap too and it was very nice to see the photos. Keep up the good work. My blog is inspirational all the way ~ It is something the Lord burdened my heart to do BUT it is so exciting to look at these "home oriented" blogs. I'll check back in another time and look at your blog further. Lord Bless You, Cathryn in Kentucky

ooooo weddings! I love weddings! (and family, and old pictures:) How wonderful you have such old wedding pictures. My parents, and grandparents didn't take pictures at their weddings. Is her name really Tiny Violet??? How neat!

Whoa - what a GOOD idea! Kathy, do you scrapbook, or digitally scrapbook? I do, if you don't and I'd love to put a 12 x 12 page together for you with these photos.

Let me know if this would work for you - I'd be happy to do it.

You've given me some good ideas - I'm so glad I came to visit.
