I was having a leisurely, lazy afternoon - I must admit still in my PJ's at 1:00! My dear hubby marched in the room with instructions - "Get your clothes on, we're going out." Well, ok then! So I quickly dressed and did makeup and hair and off we went. When we arrived at the destination he had in mind he looked rather proud of himself - he knew exactly where he was going. He led me directly to one of the counters and pointed to a gorgeous diamond band. He said, "I like this one, try it on. I want to get it for my girl." While stunned, I was on board! A perfect fit. Within 30 minutes we were out the door with a gorgeous band sparkling on my hand!
What a guy! We've been married a little over 38 1/2 years and my heart still flutters when he's on his way home! I love that he still calls me his "girl". The body gets a bit worse for the wear, but the heart in love remains the same!
I must add however...
Seeing the pictures I took of MY HAND wearing my gorgeous gift made me wonder once again...
When, oh, when did I become my mother?!

Your ring is beautiful- and best of all--the nice surprise:)
I remember the day I looked down and saw that I had my mother's hands:)
Do you think that most people can see their mom and dad's hands in their mind's eye?:)--those hands that tied our shoes, put a bandage on our scrapes, made our lunch, fixed our bicycle, combed our hair... those are the hands that our hands reached for from our first steps ...my dad passed away 2 yrs. ago, but I know my mother's hands still fold in prayer today to ask a blessing and protection on her children and their families...what love...
Happy Valentines Day!
Linda C
I see nothing wrong with those hands!!! Hands that have loved a man and cared for children are beautiful to behold.
What a way to celebrate!! You have one truly wonderful man!!!
My husband calls me his bride and his 'babygirl'. Wow, after 41yr.

Oh my. It's gorgeous!!! I think your dh is a keeper for sure :-)
I've always had old looking hands--since I was a kid--due to eczema and dry skin. I never would have fooled anyone on the old Ivory dishwashing liquid commercial!
Have a wonderful Valentine's Day with your sweetie :-)
